DJ/Producer Sonny Fodera, an artist whose resume of releases are mind-boggling with tracks on the likes of Defected, Cajual, Suara, and Dirtybird, is getting all set for his upcoming international In the House tour starting with an exclusive sampler pack on Defected.
Among the crazy selection of edits in his In the House sampler EP, the UK based tastemaker included a VIP edit of “Go Get It”: a track previously given to fans as a free download through the Beatdown label back in September. Its driving bassline, combined with snappy percussive lifts, makes for one hell of a dancefloor stomper. This is the kind of house music which is becoming increasingly popular as of late; substituting subtlety for the sake of eccentricity, “Go Get It” plays out like a trip through a funhouse of thugged out vocal hooks and silly embellishments. It’s like a sinister, acid fueled adventure through a joyous wonderland of tech and deep house staples.
