Local imprint Silence in Metropolis savors the last few moments of the summer with Michael McLardy’s Summer Crunch. On the label’s fourth release, McLardy’s original tracks cruise along at a calculated pace while the remixes gear towards peak dance floor hours. Playful piano riffs decorate the hearty bass of “Summer Crunch,” the sticky and sweet title track. Evren Ulusoy’s “Summer Crunch” remix accelerates the tempo while adding a bit of fiery funk. “Motorcycles,†the second original production, brings sophisticated leisure to mind with its percussive and understated pulse. This ambiance is turned out by P.Lopez who approaches the remix with garage-flavored rhythm under a driving bass.
