Melé, “Ambience”

We can’t sit on this one much longer.

After its debut on BBC Radio One back in March, Melé‘s “Ambience” has been popping up more and more often in sets at festivals and clubs across the globe. With an upcoming release on Redlight‘s label Lobster Boy, “Ambience” is the type of summer slammer that creeps up on you with its carnival vibe complete with high energy vocals, unstoppable percussion, and enough bass to make your bones rattle in your skin suit. By and large, “Ambience” does mark a transition for the UK based producer whose work up until now has essentially been in UK grime, but it still maintains Melé’s playfulness which has become a moniker of his work over the past several years.

Ultimately this is the kind of track, much like last summer’s “Pushing On” by Oliver $ and Jimi Jules, that winds up sticking over time like hot bubblegum on velcro, so be to sure to pre-order the track before its penultimate release on July 24. You can stream it below via Mixmag.
