DC’s own Funkdamentalist is gearing up to release his forthcoming 3-track EP Exposed tomorrow on Something Different Records. Appealing to house heads, purists and vinyl lovers alike with its old school sampled house feel, Exposed (especially the title track) provides a soundtrack to what 90’s dreams are made of. The second track, appropriately titled “The Grind,” is a deep house burner built around 90s piano chord stabs and quirky vocals.
U.K.’s Werner Niedermeier is on remix duty for title track “Exposed” adding an infectious climbing bassline rendering a funkier version of the original, while keeping the deeper elements intact making it a real dancefloor groover.
