This week’s collection is fine bunch of funk from a variety of different sources. From deep and dancey to hip hop and Moombahton-esque, Too Funk Tuesday is back again on a Wednesday with some awesome tracks to keep your spirit high this week. Enjoy!

Snakehips – Gone (feat. Syd)

This song is on repeat for me right now, and if you give it a listen you’ll know why. It’s deep, soulful, romantic – just downright dope. Snakehips are some dudes out of London who have been dropping absolute jams in 2015, bringing the heat on almost everything I’ve heard from them so far. The sensual vocals from Syd perfectly ride the heavy bass, synth vibes and piano that surmise this track. Enjoy.

Action Bronson vs Charles Bronson – Get off my P.P. (Cookin Soul remix)

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted hip hop on Blisspop, but this track is definitely worth a spot on this week’s TFT. Action Bronson is the man in the game this day (not to mention hilarious on his VICE Munchies show). Cookin Soul brings a cool sample from Charles Bronson’s classic film “Death Wish.” Its soul at its finest and the chorus only makes you want slap the haters. The rhymes are tight, got to ride out to this one…

Will Silver – Systematic

This is the deep house track of the week, and man is it sexy. It builds you up, takes you for a ride and then lets you go as it fades out. It’s hard to describe because Will Silver keeps it so simple…almost systematic in its ability to keep you dancing. Nicely produced and definitely set worthy, take a listen to this:

Montell Jordan – Get It On Tonite (Aylen Remix)

I know, I know…this week’s TFT is a bit lacking in the Nu Disco space but I can’t deny that my ears have been somewhere else this week. However, the funk still exists but its taking new forms – like this electro, deep remake of a 90’s dance anthem. Aylen brings Montell Jordan to the 21st century with an almost Moombahton-esque version of “Get It On Tonite” and it can break your speakers if you play that bass too high. Enjoy this one!
