In August of 2014, DJ EZ played at Flash on his first U.S. tour. Â The veteran DJ has been playing since the early 90s, has been a mainstay on pirate radio and the legal airwaves in the UK, and has helmed the Pure Garage Mix CD series since 2000 but, amazingly, had never toured America until just two years ago. Â In preparation for the night, I gorged on a month-long diet of UK Garage classics and watched his epic 3-and-a-half-hour Boiler Room set (which has some of the best crowd reactions of the series). Â Nothing could adequately prepare me for seeing him in person: his charisma, jaw-dropping CDJ trickery, incredible selection, and seemingly ceaseless momentum. Â EZ is back in America for only three shows this month: New York, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. Â His appearance at U Hall this Thursday is not to be missed!
