LA based/DC born Nadastrom drop ‘Fallen Down’, a deep, visceral, and seductive mid-tempo groove. Berlin school intros, layers of unfolding liquid texture, foreboding late 90’s/early 00’s trip hop progressions, and smoky vocals set the mood. It’s the shit that haunts you like dreams of an old lover and feels like the sexually satisfying slow burn of good whiskey and a cheap cigarette. Strict 808 kicks and micro-house percussion on 2’s and 4’s define the pocket. This is no lights and top shelf liquor music – my favorite DC aesthetic. Let the succubus in.
