Uk based house producer, montel, debuted his new label Bass Hit Dub with a hard hitting acid house single. “The Journey†is definitely a more aggressive approach to house music than montel’s previous work, but that’s not a bad thing to any degree. The track opens with a driving sub bass groove over a raw 4/4 drum pattern, quickly turning into a 303 driven stomper. The track comes packaged with a remix by Illyus & Barrientos, who work it into a nice deep house track. The B-side to the release “For So Long†is a chilled out house number, capitalizing on a hypnotic bass line and synth pattern that’s super easy to get lost in. Oli Furness takes up remix duties to close the EP out, turning into into a late night warehouse groove. Take a listen below:
