Louis La Roche — The Receiver
He’s back!!!!!! Mr. La Roche himself is finally here with an EP that just brings the heat. His original mix, “The Receiver,†is an absolute beauty, something that brings back memories of some of his oldest hits. Upbeat and very danceable, this indie dance track is one of the hottest songs of 2015 so far — and only means that Louis will be busting out more throughout the year.

Jafunk — Dazed
I just recently heard this song and it legitimately may be one the best tracks I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying in a minute. If you’ve got sensitive ears, you’ll notice this production samples The Spinner’s “I’ll be Around†or the chorus you may recognize as “whenever you call me…I’ll be there.†This tune is everything you could ask for in a dance track: sexy synths, driving bass and an extremely funky vocal. Oh yeah…this is a must listen.

Ella Henderson — Mirror Man (Henry Krinkle Remix)
If you haven’t heard of Henry Krinkle yet, the time is now. He’s definitely an up and comer with an extremely unique vibe that resonates with almost any audience. Once known for his minimal instrumentation and trapped out basslines, This track pulls from his recent deviation into the house-sphere and is highly funky. I’m a fan, enjoy!

Tesla55 — It’s You (Bishiclet Remix)
Another name to remember is Monsieur Bishiclet from Brooklyn. This guy is highly romantic and his slowed-down, synth-filled french house tracks ensue sensuality. A real “believer of the boogie†this guy brings computer love to its finest with this fine remix of Tesla55. It’s deep and brings a nice crescendo around a filtered vocal. Definitely check this out!

Soulja Boy — Pretty Boy Swag (Michael Berry Remix)
This is my party track of the week! Michael Berry absolutely rips it up with this one. He makes Soulja Boy look like he did in 2003, good for absolutely no reason. I can’t refrain from bumping my head to this one, it’s like I want to resist…but I won’t. He takes an extremely heavy bass line and matches Soulja Boy’s lyrics on top, making the chorus oh so catchy. Don’t judge, take a listen…definitely add this one to your set.

MIX OF THE WEEK: LeMarquis x Chill Music
Had the pleasure of shoveling 8 inches of snow off my driveway to this…and it made it SO much better. LeMarquis is a leader in the housed-out hip hop category and his mixes of such tracks as Jay-Z’s “99 Problems†and Ludacris’ “Stand Up†are true examples of production capability.
