Every week we highlight the best free songs of the week. Here are this week’s 12 songs in no particular order. Get ready because there was a lot of weird — great, but weird — music this week.
1. Young Summer – Blood Love (Big Wild Remix)
This is such an unconventional remix. There are so many unnatural, unordinary sounds. It’s very worldly in a way and each sound is delicately placed. He highlights DC pop goddess Young Summer’s gorgeous vocals and fills in the gaps of the song.

2. Abraham Blue – Good Vibes (J-Louis Remix)
This track is wonderfully bass driven. This song also sounds very aquatic, like you’re underwater. If aquatic bass were a thing, I think that’s how I’d describe this track. But it’s definitely groovy and worth the listen.

3. BADBADNOTGOOD ft. Wara From The NBHD – Kaleidoscope (Kaytranada Remix)
Always #blessed 🙠with more Kaytranada in my life.

4. Wiz Khalifa x Ty Dolla $ign – Post Up
Wiz Khalifa. Ty Dolla $ign. Fo free.

 5. kolada – selfishness
This singer-songwriter “somewhat” producer is beautifully brillant. Her voice is addictive. Her music is just easy to listen to. It’s so dreamy while not being super poppy like you’d expect. It’s bright but soft and very much the kind of music I want to listen to while I’m sitting on a bench in Dupont Circle.

6. josh pan – one thing
More Josh Pan always.

7. Coyote Kisses – Ferrari
This track is so catchy and vibrant. It’s hashtagged “Neon Nature” and that’s exactly what I visualize while listening to this song. Coyote Kisses smoothly combines a variety of synths for this upbeat, super hip tune. It also reminds me of a trippier Mario Kart song.

 8. Rodriguez – Can’t Get Away (Kungs Remix)
I love a good deep house remix. The French producer, Kungs is most known for his remix of Lana’s “West Coast” but this new rework is fantastic. You can’t help but dance tbh.

 9. Cavalier – Masks
Pure fire. Cavalier makes swoon worthy trap beats and like everyone else he’s young, Â only 17, and that still impresses me. This track is well produced and simple while still packing a punch.
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/194270550″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
10. Alexander Lewis and KRNE – Pipes
Although it really only samples one line of Ariana Grande and The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder”, this wacky little flip of that one line is a great, spontatneous creation by Lewis and KRNE.
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/195206429″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
11. Lindsay Lowend – Feb 17
The DC producer really built up this track. The sound just grows and morphs as the track continues. This track is haunting in all the right ways. It’s very analogue with the steady clink throughout the track.
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/195228127″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
12. bnjmn – the fuckin’ man (krs & oshi remix)
Damnnn Oshi. He’s this 16 year old kid from London that makes killer trap beats. His tracks are always very hip hop inspired and fuze a lot of interesting genres. His beats are spectacular.
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/195290966″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
BONUS: FKA Biggie – terryurban
Thank you terryurban for bringing the most outlandish, surprisingly amazing album of FKA Twigs x Biggie mashups. Never mind the fact that more than 1 FKA x Biggie mashup is ridiculous, an entire album’s worth is a complete other story. But it’s good in a really weird way. And freeeee
