Austria-native Egon Elliut is a young producer bringing through lush deep house with a mysterious, addictive, bass-filled spirit. He’s been producing under his name for the last two years, releasing a healthy series of originals as well as notable remixes to Candi Staton’s 1986 hit “You Got The Love” and Tunde Adebimpe, lead singer of TV on the Radio. The given trend in his work seems to be bass and lots of it, however, not to suffocate the tracks but rather subconsciously progress each piece in addition to the mix of synths, percussion, and samples. As far as influences go, he tells us:
“whatever triggers a certain feeling in me, is an influence which leads to a certain expression in my music… be it in music or whatever [I] feel like doing.”
After moving out of Austria and spending some time in London and Barcelona, Egon now resides in Berlin where he continues to produce. As of recently, he’s released a good number of singles including the Madonna-sampled “I Know” (streamed below). He currently doesn’t have set-in-stone plans to form an EP quite yet, but says that he’s waiting for the “right moment,” as though not to stress his developing inspiration.
The few tracks below were a difficult choice as his new and older work have a unique attraction of their own. Give them a listen and check out his SoundCloud for the rest as well as upcoming releases in the near future.
