Chris Bushnell – Only That Real

Fresh off his crucial, banging remix of Gent & Jawns Fireball, Chris Bushnell is ready to rock and roll with his first original track of 2015. And with early support from the likes of dance festival heavy hitters like TJR, Henry Fong, and Milo & Otis, it appears that this could be the kind of track that swoops in early and percolates for the duration of the festival season.

The track, named Only That Real, is a cross-bred, genre blending, genetically modified beast of an edit that drops the beat hard enough to give people whiplash. Featuring elements of future house and slick, streetwise vocals from IAMSU and Sage the Gemini, Only That Real is a pure, in-the-moment kind of track. Coming out at a time where G-house and future house is naturally clashing together on dancefloors all over the world thanks to artists like Tchami, Oliver Heldens, and the DJs at BBC Radio, Only That Real serves as a subliminal note that cues us as to where mainstream dance music is going in a way that is adept and calculated. It jacks. It bangs. And it doesn’t ask to be anything more than it is: an awesomely fun composition of house music.
