We’ve been enamored with Tommie Sunshine’s Brooklyn Fire label over the course of the past couple of months as it has shifted its focus a little bit to make room for some diversity in the “Main Stage EDM” category. Joining the ranks of these tracks is an upcoming release by relative newcomer APAX based out of Melbourne that infuses the infamous “bounce” that currently runs mainstream EDM fare with an out-of-left-field element that is sure to turn a few heads.
The track, entitled Twang, bangs with a massive kick and basks in the sweet, cheesy glory of a guitar riff pulled straight out of a country-fried hoedown before eventually making way for an epic, piano driven interlude. And given the series of drops and builds, this track looks to jumpstart 2015 with an adrenaline shot straight to the face.
You can listen to the preview after the jump and pick up the track via digital download when it’s released on January 13.
