Tourist had been teasing tracks from his upcoming EP for Disclosure’s Method Records. His most recent, “I Can’t Keep Up,” aired this week and is some of his best work to date. Featuring the vocals of Will Heard, the track is restrained and contemplative, building stuttering percussions into an eventual dance pattern while the synths rise to a climax around Heard’s lovelorn crooning. This EP is definitely showing Tourist moving in a more house-oriented direction, but it’s a welcome direction and doesn’t feel too far from his past work as he maintains his keen sense for moving melodic soundscapes.
