The summertime is fully upon us, the passion, the frenzy, the heat…it is the one time of the year that EVERYTHING is alive. The only feeling sweeter than lounging in the summer sun is the grooviness of summer nights. Too Funk Tuesday is back again with some beautiful, spaced out jamz to get you prepared for those magical evenings out.
Morrt — All Night
Off of his “3 AM” EP, Morrt brings a laid back, sweet tune that perfectly introduces a breezy summer night. This track spews a mild mellowness that can drown you with its vibe, making you dance uncontrollably and without purpose. Simple in its creation, its riveting.
Truly beautiful, this track is meant for greatness. Bee’s Knees brings a multitude of sounds and genres that makes this truly unique. It incorporates indie vocals, piano house, d&b kicks and synths, and an upbeat, energetic BPM. A great sound!
Everyone needs a song to unwind to, something that’s deep and mysterious and takes you to a self-reflective place. Well this is that song, one that can accompany you after a long night out and towards home under the rising sun. Soothing and sensual, Zimmer will bring out the space cadet with this one.
I’m a huge fan of the original but serious credit is due to Endor for this spectacular mix. A deep, bass-banging revision that gives this incredible vocal sample a perfect modern-day edge. DJs everywhere should download this immediately, its drop will break the dancefloor. Enjoy!
I’m a big fan of Parisian Veens, he’s a recently dropped an awesome array of original tracks and new mixes that I’m completely enraptured by. This one in particular. It’s a wide ranging of variety of edits and has first class production quality. Similar to LeMarquis in his ability to mix house and hip hop vibes, Veens brings an experimental vibe that could take him higher than Flume and others. Enjoy this!
