SLINGER is a Delphic producer and DJ of Herculean proportions. After releasing a string of uncontrollably catchy remixes of artists like Pharrell, Stromae, and Prince, the nudisco enigma is set to release an original work on October 17 entitled “How Does It Feel.” And, simply put, it makes us feel amazing.
An impeccably paced piece of nudisco funk that will light up the dancefloor like a Christmas tree, “How Does It Feel” is a track built on a superlative blend of a Daft Punk-esque admiration of classic dance music and an overwhelming accessibility which makes this tune a treat for the hardcore house aficionados in addition to the lesser versed mainstream audience. Normally, this is a hard feat to accomplish, but thanks to SLINGER’s production skills, the track sounds as if it was the easiest, breeziest track of all time to produce which elevates the song’s status from a simple diversion to a must have. Everything from the whimsical synths to the vivacious beat that bubbles and bounces throughout are a testament to this and if it doesn’t make the room jump in a collective wave of sprightly joy, you’re probably in a room filled with dead people.
