Metronomy – Love Letters (Soulwax Remix)

Metronomy’s The English Riviera was a nice album full of quiet indie pop with an electronic flair. The best part about it though was a whole slew of remixes ranging from Fred Falke and Mario Basanov to Jesse Rose and Duke Dumont. Their new new album is set to drop in a few days, and they’ve already started releasing remixes, most notably from indie dance mainstays Soulwax. Soulwax has been quiet who a hot minute, but their take on “Love Letters” makes it totally worth it. The track sounds like one of the early DFA remixes in all the best ways—funky disco bass line, eclectic live percussion feel, spacey synths and catchy vocals. It’s rambunctious and undeniable and dripping in funk. Check it out below and keep an eye out for more remixes to come!
