Remember Klaves? The 21 year old wunderkind who produced that Glass Animals remix we wrote up literally two weeks ago? Turns out this kid is full of surprises. His newest track, “Oh No,” an original that just came out via PMR Records’ new sub label Beat Club, is so chock full of stellar organ stabs, jazzy percussion, and sexy sax that it just can’t be avoided.
Coming in at just under 5 minutes, this track is solid gold through and through; so much so that King Midas would have a heart attack if he saw it. Featuring a fresh spin on house music that has been relatively unseen as of late, the track starts off with a basic 4/4 structure before it opens up the floodgates to a cacophony of synchronized bliss featuring claps, piano keys, soulful vocals, and drums that sound like they were recorded in the subways of New York. It sounds real slick and, in a marketplace that is currently being flooded with 90’s and 80’s inspired house, it’s an edit that stands out amongst the crowd.
You can pick up the superlative “Oh No” on Beatport and stream it after the jump.
