8(ish) Free Downloads of the Week: 002

Every week we highlight the best free songs of the week. Here are this week’s 8(ish) songs in no particular order.

1. Marvin Gaye – How Sweet It Is (Eau Claire Remix)

Eau Claire brings new life to the Marvin Gaye classic. Her light, twinkly touch accents that future groove style that’s quickly becoming more and more popular. She’s essentially creating modern disco music.

2. Keith Ape – It G Ma (LUCA LUSH Remix)

Come on, you know you needed more LUCA LUSH in your life. This track has nice vibrant synth and bouncy drums that weirdly complement the trappy vocals. LUCA LUSH doesn’t make remixes; he strips a song and adds multiple beat breaks, each better than the last.

3. Atlas Bound – Tell Me (Prince Fox Remix)

The Atlas Bound track is already so smooth and soulful but Prince Fox took that and added some crisp guitars and drums to bring a future rock inspired twist. It’s hard to classify what exactly this genre falls under, but it’s a banger.

4. Jack Ãœ – Mind ft. Kai (StéLouse refux)

Like Drake, as soon as Jack Üreleased their album, remixes started dropping faster than josh pan tracks. StéLouse finds a way to fill in the gaps Jack Ü left. Plus, the drop in this song is fantastically catchy.

5. babel – Family Affair ft. josh pan

This Mary J. Blige remix is so smooth. I can’t even describe that popping sound in the back but it’s as great as the drum snaps. It has a nice jazzy feel and it’s josh pan and babel, it’s obviously pretty stellar.

6. Mark Johns - 5 South (Prod. Alexander Lewis) Ft. Brasstracks

Thank you Mark Johns for blessing us with this track. The vocals are so flirtatious and very alluring. Brasstracks brings all the brass you could ever want in your life. This song is summery and sweet, perfect for ignoring the snow that still spots the ground.

7. G-Eazy – Lets Get Lost ft. Devon Baldwin (Louis Futon Remix)

This remix is very calculated and controlled. It’s nice to listen to because there’s never a bare moment. He balances the two vocals so they truly compliment each other and add a bit of a different feel to the song.

8. Mitski – Francis Forever (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)

Ryan Hemsworth, man. Mitski has beautiful music as is but this remix really brings her music into this world. Her vocals float across Hemsworth’s springy, twinkly beat. I’m so excited to see what other music SXSW inspires.
