Fog – Knob Junktion EP

Seven Music is back with more grade-A house cuts, perfect for a late night warehouse party or underground dance floor. The Knob Junktion Ep comes at us by way of Fog and features two originals, as well as a rework by label heads, Sean Grieve & Ric McClelland (South West Seven). The title track is a muscular deep house groove with a pounding low end, acidic flourishes, and muted stabs. The track centers around the driving kick/bass combo and makes for a really high energy track ready to decimate the floor. The South West Seven remix of the track cools it down a hair, giving it a throwback house vibe and focusing on a keyboard patten and 303 arp. Fog closes the record with the spacey “What To Do,” which shares in the raw vibe of “Knob Junktion,” but adding a heavily effected vocal sample that gives the track a nice atmospheric touch.
