Eric Davignon – “Feel The Same”

Well known Detroit-based House duo Golf Clap have made a name for themselves not only in the underground scene in the Motor City, but abroad as well. It appears their label Country Club Disco is on route to do the same thing.

Their latest cut comes in the form of newcomer Eric Davignon’s debut release “Feel The Same.” I originally heard the track on UK heavyweight Wilfred Giroux’s regular spot on Rinse FM a few months back and instantly had to get my hands on it. It’s the 5th release on the not even year old label and it does not disappoint – out March 16 via Traxsource.

Davignon really brings some quality production to this track with some snappy, clean drum work complimented by a thumping bass line. Add its punchy synth stabs and 90’s RnB-type soulful vocals on top and the track makes for a catchy, proper House banger on the dance floor.

Davignon’s debut seems promising both for himself and the type of talent Country Club Disco is putting out. I’ll be interested to see what comes next from either.

Also worth a listen are the EPs remixes from Darko Kustura, Skeleton Army, and MRJ.
