Norwegian producer Djuma Soundystem teamed up with Denmark’s Pete Oak and South African producer/vocalist Lazarusman for “Leave Us,” which was released on Audiomatique about a month ago. Djuma Soundsystem and Pete Oak used Lazarusman’s spoken word sermon to create a spoken-word-tech-house hybrid that is very creative and unique. Will there emerge a new genre on the scene mixing house/techno with spoken word poetry? I don’t know. What I do know is that “Leave Us” is a groundbreaking and incredibly well done track.
