It’s no secret that we’re fans of Detroit Swindle. Especially after dropping their massive full length earlier this year, it’s hard to deny that the duo is at the very top of the house game, crushing it from every possible aspect with remixes, originals and DJ mixes. They’ve just dropped the remix pack to single “64 Ways,†and it’s massive. Teaming up with Kerri Chandler, Kraak & Smaak, and turning in a dub of their own. Each of the reworks is nice, but the real winner here is Kerri Chandler’s. He kicks the track into an old school house groove, making one of the most enjoyable tracks he’s released in awhile. Soulful rhodes chords, a deep bass groove, and string stabs form the basis of the track around Mayer Hawthorne’s vocals, resulting is a really warm and irresistible groover. The track is almost better in dub form, making for a breezy soulful house getaway. Take a listen to both cuts below:
