Colour Vision, the Californian producer/DJ and pool party connoisseur partially responsible for Paradise Unlimited, is quickly becoming a hot commodity on the festival circuit and at day parties across the U.S. following a series of well received remixes and originals like last year’s “Sur Chic” and his recent take on Penguin Prison’s “Never Gets Old.” Today, through independent label On the Fruit, sees the release of one of his most teased tracks, “Haus Party,” which is the kind of summery anthem we’ve come to expect from the young producer while maintaining a vibe that shows exceptional growth.
“Haus Party” shows a certain finesse that brings to mind Strictly Rhythm classics from the early 90’s as it bumps and grooves around a vocal sample designed for big grins and even bigger dance moves. Keeping with his tropical roots, he adds a proper amount of cowbell and tremolo effected synth notes that make affairs percussive, funky, and light instead of giving in to the urge to go into the dark depths of G-house. However, the track eventually takes a turn into acid house territory adding a killer intensity masterfully crafted to keep bodies in a state of 2-step. A gem that fits in with a setlist stacked with the classics, “Haus Party” is a must have for any house party this summer.
