DC based beatsmith, Backstroke, has been on the quick comeup with a series of HypeMachine chart toppers fueled by his sterling production and tendency for addicting melodies. Kitsune Maison just debuted his remix of Chela’s “Zero,” and it’s likely his best work yet. The track is a combination of hip hop based percussion, effervescent synths, and vocal manipulations reminiscent of Wave Racer and Cashmere Cat. The light feeling of the stabs mixed with the minor feel of the atmospherics immediately make the track feel like an evening beach party. Keep an eye out for this one.
