Alex Metric and Yuksek have teamed up as The Alexanders. Both producers have been making waves for awhile on their own, but their recent collaboration with Anna Lunoe is some of their best and most enjoyable work yet. “Don’t Miss” is based around a muscular synth line that expands and contracts throughout the song, while disco rises and synth stabs accentuate it . The track sounds like an old Juan Maclean cut mixed with modern disco house sensibilities, and Lunoe’s vocals even sound a little like Nancy Whang at times. The release also offers up a nice remix courtesy of Jean Tonique, who gives it a more traditional nu disco feel. The verses even have an old school house vibe to them which makes for a cool contrast with the disco bass. All in all this is a super fun release and we’re looking forward to what else the duo has to offer.
