Brighton-based producer, Scott Diaz, just dropped his Lovesick EP, and it’s one of the most enjoyable collections we’ve heard this year. Lovesick is 4 tracks of sublime deep house with lush melodies, massive summer vibes and plenty of groove. “The Ocean Was Always You†is a mid tempo house groover built around a breezy vocal and a jazzy piano line. “Lovesick†builds its groove out of a rubbery bass line and jazzy stabs. The track has a nice throwback feel to it. “Philadelphia†cools things down a bit, relying on a sub bass and echoed vocals to create spacey atmosphere anchored by the kick and shaker pattern, and “Deliver Me†closes the record on a high with a nice old school house vibe and soulful vocals.
