Groove Armada needs no introduction, and they’ve just released their new Pork Soda EP on Jaymo and andy George’s Moda Black Imprint. The release is three gritty house cuts that show the duo still at the top of their game. “Pork Soda†is the most aggressive track on the EP, building a dark groove with a hefty low end and an underground club vibe. It fits perfectly with the Moda Black aesthetic and serves as a great intro to the rest of the EP. “Hyde & Freak†keeps the lights low and works it’s way into a rubbery bassline with skittering hi hats and a call and response of vocals and horn snips . It’s a hypnotic track that works itself into a nice melodic climax halfway through. “Jack In Black†closes the record on a lighter note. It’s a groovy house track with old school vibes, a soulful vocal sample, muted piano line, and a jackin beat. Check out the release below:
