Brighton producer Laurie James Ross, better known by his pseudonym Eagles For Hands, released his debut EP for free yesterday. Hot Telescopic is a 4-track powerhouse of sun drenched bass grooves and glitched-out vocals that plays as a seamless blend of UK bass styles. Beats, bass, house, what have you–it’s all wrapped up in a futuristic burst that’s equal parts late-night floor stompers and haze-filled day dreams.

Not wholly new to producing, Ross has had spots on XLR8R and remixes for the likes of Laura Mvula and Post War Years, but this is his first original material since last years Gliterall, and as it stands will hopefully be his breaking point. His productions easily stand amongst the likes of Disclosure, XXXY, etc., and Hot Telescopic is as consistently good as it is coherent. And, in case you missed it above, it’s FREE. Download it here.
