We’ve written about Mozado before, but this new one is on a whole new level. The Boston producer brings the heat to the summer with his remix of Trey Songz’s “Nobody Else But You,†and is sure to get you started at your first pool party of the season.
It opens with airy vocals and guitar melodies, while the tasteful rhythmic punches of tuned toms and the classic Mozado sliding bass give this record the distinct feel of an R&B/hip-hop track. The chorus drives Trey Songz’s point home with an incredibly poppy pitched-up vocal chop, and claps that make you get involved emotionally. He initially recorded this record as part of a remix contest from Atlantic Records, but I’m sure they’re kicking themselves now that this wasn’t the original.
