On our radar of late is the EP Rescue from Italian production trio Usual Things Around, released by DC-based imprint Silence in Metropolis. After gaining generous support from a slew of veterans including Kerri Chandler, DJ Sneak and Osunlade, Silence in Metropolis now boasts its third solid release with Rescue.
The EP’s two original tracks, “Rescue†and “It’s Real,†mutually complement their remixes from Jus Nowhere and Dale Howard, respectively. While the originals keep it moving with a classic and refined dance pulse, the remixes bring out the playful, rowdier sides of the tunes with vibrant, Bass-influenced interpretations.
Usual Things Around pulls off Rescue rather seamlessly and makes a flattering contribution to the steadily growing output from Silence in Metropolis. With such consistent quality coming from the burgeoning young label, its future is certainly one to be excited about.
