The latest release from the Let’s Play House camp comes from label head, Jacques Renault, in the form of the Out of Sync EP. This is the first multi-original release under his name, consisting of 4 originals ready to stir you up. Opening with “I Like It,” Renault teams up with Emperor Machine for a dirty deep house workout with an analog disco flavor on top. Clattering cymbals and constantly evolving synths drive a muscular groove into a blissful chaos. “Akron” cools things down a bit to a spacey melodic trip based around a hypnotic bass and cascading synths. On the B-side, Renault lets his italo-disco leanings shine with a heavily arpeggiated hit cosmic of cosmic goodness, and “M.A.N.”brings the EP to a close on a jazzy house note serving as a great blend of the influences in the previous three tracks.
