The Belgian duo Arches (Sebastiaan Vandevoorde and Jochen Sablon) are responsible for some dance floor killers of late, including the original “Want You†and remix of Kieza’s “Giant In My Heart.†This time around, they take on the lovely George Maple’s “Talk Talk.†The original track – produced by Flume and released as part of the 5 piece EP “Vacant Space†on Future Classic – stands out on its own as a work of art. However, while keeping much of Maple’s already enticing vocals and the track’s atmospheric pads intact, Arches give it a dance floor-ready makeover by adding their trademark thumping bass voice and an energized drum setup, moving to a four on the floor beat while still keeping some of the original drums noticeable in the break downs. Topping it off with some well placed sweeps and filter work, this really is a track that can work a sound system. Another kicker: it’s available for free download on their Soundcloud page.
