This week’s edition of TFT is a real treat and offers 6 tracks that have been blowing my mind for the past week. The vibes are different and the dance is varied, but the funk is always there. Enjoy!

Pat Lok – All In My Head Ft. Desirée Dawson (Gold Fields Remix)

Pat Lok is back with a new single, and Gold Fields spices up the original with a deep, upbeat take. Out of Ballarat, Austrailia, Gold Fields combine the melodic and tropical realms of house music to create this beauty – one filled with subtle drops which really complement the melodic vocals, a good track to kick off your TFT. Take a listen!

The Dealer – For A Night feat. Shells

It’s not often you hear a track that takes you back to the very reason why you got into dance music, but The Dealer does it well with this one. This soothing, French touch melody is perfect for a relaxing night with your loved one. Definitely energetic enough to get your feet shuffling but slow enough to keep it romantic.

Afrojack – Take Over Control (Sweekuh Remix)

Philly-based producer Sweekuh absolutely transforms this electro pop track into a dirty, deep dance track that is sure to keep the dance floor grooving. The heavy drop reaches Nero levels and I love the way the vocals overlay the higher BPM. Sweekuh is a name to keep an eye on 2015, his remixes are gaining notoriety and this track is a great example of why!

SNBRN – Raindrops Feat. Kerli

A little slow to the game with this one, but I’m highly impressed by SNBRN’s ability to produce his first original mix off Ultra Music Records. This LA-based artist has found his niche and he’s absolutely killing it, bringing indie dance to the forefront of Spotifys and Soundclouds everywhere. Infectious vocals combined with a driving bassline–this song gives off warm, sunny vibes that are very fitting. Enjoy!

Kav Verhouzer & Jengi Beats – Do This Together (ft. Jamila)

Really cool deep house track from Dutch producers, Kav Verhouzer and Jengi Beats. Its simplistic tune and catchy vocals are suitable for an awesome deep, dance mixtape. Sweet and sensational, this is nice a track to keep in your rotation.

MIX OF THE WEEK — THUMP // Oliver Nelson’s Perfect Havoc Disco Mixtape

I legit didn’t look for new music for three of four days because I had this mix on repeat for so long. It’s absolutely amazing, almost maniacal in its execution. Oliver Nelson is on to something great and I’m glad to see him getting his name out on popular channels like VICE’s Thump. This mix is a crushing combination of Nu Disco and dance to Indie House and pop styles that is extremely well produced.
